It was about 10 years ago I decided to stop listening to the news, to the radio and actively stopped news articles from showing in my social feed. I was absolutely fed up of the world feeding off negativity and hearing things that I had no power over changing but affecting my mood throughout the day without being prepared for it.

I always used to say "why don't they have a section of the news that focuses on happy news" as I would love to hear something great at the end about all the good stuff people are achieving across the world.

That's when I found out about The Happy News who focus on just that! So the news can be uplifting and inspiring rather than distressing and upsetting!

Every single day there are people helping others and doing incredible things in all corners of the planet and the majority of them aren't celebrated, but we think they deserve to be recognised. We aim to bring a refreshing twist on what we typically know as 'news', reporting on positive changes and truly inspiring people.

The Happy News is now available at Plastic Freedom which you can purchase as a one off pick me up or subscribe to get the new editions four times a year! Once you're done with it you can pin your favourites to your vision board or pass on the paper to another family member and keep the good news spreading!
